Ceremony and reception at Sunol Valley Golf Club in Sunol.
We started the day at Ann's home with a Vietnamese ceremony. Steve and Ann had a larger traditional ceremony during their engagement but this one wasn't small as the house was packed with family members celebrating the marriage! Steve and his family filed up to the house and exchanged greetings with Ann's family before being welcomed into the home. Inside, they burned incense and paid respects to their ancestors before family and close friends came up to congratulate them.
Later, Ann and Steve changed into a dress and tuxedo and we were off to a brief bride and groom session. The overcast held out just long enough for some perfect outdoor picture opportunities in the mid afternoon. Then, off to Sunol Valley Golf Club for their western ceremony and reception. We looked out over the links as Ann and Steve exchanged vows. The evening ended with an awesome party. We were happy to catch up with Vera and JJ again who were just married earlier this year and Atelier clients.

Ann and Steven Engaged. San Francisco
We were lucky enough to have met Ann earlier this year at Vera and JJ's beautiful Casa Real wedding. In a couple weeks it will be Ann and Steve's turn to tie the knot. Can't wait!
Just over a week ago we met for their engagement session at Fort Point, Crissy Field, and finished up at Sutro Baths. As you can see, San Francisco's foggy reputation is not always deserved. The weather wasn't as mild as it appeared but Ann and Steve did a great job of making it look warm. They were game for anything which made for a very smooth shoot. We even had time for a coffee and hot chocolate break at the famous Warming Hut.

Vera and JJ's Wedding. Pleasanton
Ceremony and Reception at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton.
We are finally here - Valentine's, Chinese (aka Lunar) New Year, Vera and JJ's wedding day. In 2010, they are one and the same! As we arrived that afternoon, Giao was ready to apply Vera's finishing touches (oooooo, airbrush!). Ladies gathered in one room and the boys, another. We split the team and photographed everyone as they finished preparing.
The vines at Casa Real were not budding yet but the mustard bloom was out in force due to the early rains and sudden warm spell. It really was beautiful as we made our way through the rows of yellow flowers, green stems, and knotty grapevines. Inside, large arrangements adorned the entry hall and Amber Room. Check out the huge display of Hydrangea's! Yowza, Nona and her crew must have spent some time on this. Casa Real was looking spectacular as always.
